Matt is an elite fitness coach based in New York City who specializes in endurance sports including running, cycling and triathlon. He has over four years of experience as a group fitness instructor for top names in the industry including Equinox and Mile High Run Club where he instructs indoor cycling and running. Independently, Matt offers personal coaching services for both competitive and noncompetitive athletes. Matt has coached beginners to sub-elite marathoners and Ironman triathletes.
For Matt, fitness is a way of life.
He has competed in many sports including swimming, basketball, tennis, hockey, soccer, crew, wakeboard, cross country and track distance running, triathlons, and road cycling.
His top performances are in distance running where he competed for four years as a NCAA Division I Cross Country and Track distance runner for Georgia State University.
Matt has been coaching runners of all ability levels since June of 2008. He believes that a technical and hands-on coaching approach in combination with a fun and positive training atmosphere brings out the best performances in his athletes.
In 2011, Matt also started teaching group fitness classes for various companies including Equinox and Asphalt Green. More recently, he has been able to pursue his passion for running by teaching at Mile High Run Club.
